Description

A very small run of the cassette release of Goths in Nature I: Bodies of Water, a gothified field recordings composition by Ángel Jacinto. Only 10 copies available.

All field recordings utilized in this composition were found in Aporee Sounds and generously donated to public domain by different recordists. In order: curonian lagoon (Lithuania) by alas23sala; phytophony (UK) by jamie house; glenstone frog (US) by plenilunix, a.k.a. ángel jacinto; kochel lake water movements (Germany) by carlos santos; fallen tree by the river (Polska) by maciej janasik. All other sounds and sfx by Ángel Jacinto.

A Sonic Souvenir of Nature

At a time when our eyes are saturated by our screens, field recordists continue to ask us to learn to listen. In this small release of remixed recordings of bodies of water and adjacent sounds, through a piece of physical media we can hold a souvenir of different times and places, collected and crafted into a familiar yet different way of listening nature.
